Merry Christmas to my wonderful Pilates friends at the YMCA. I will miss this great group of women, many of whom I have instructed week after week for nearly 9 years. They certainly represent one of the key ingredients to maintaining a wellness program...that of creating relationships. Exercise buddies increase our adherance to exercise and activity. Likewise we know healthy relationships contribute all around to better emotional and physical health. What a pleasure to share time with such kind, energetic, inspiring women.

My friends brought balloons, cards, gifts, and delicious food as a tribute to my last week teaching Pilates at the YMCA. Home-made muffins, elaborate Christmas sweets, dips, fruit, and a special cranberry salsa dip which Sara kindly shared with us her delicious recipe. Served with crackers or on the side of your main course it becomes a festive side-dish this season.
I look forward to filling in at the YMCA as a sub instructor both for Pilates and fitness classes. In addition I will continue to work with the YMCA Parkinson Program and its partnership with Aurora Medical. There are more group mat classes planned at Home Training, LLC in 2011. Whether you are interested in small group equipment or mat training, I always welcome new clients. Home Training, LLC is not a fitness center but simply a space that allows us to breathe, focus, and concentrate on developing our core. Perhaps one day I will venture into studio ownership but for now I feel grateful to do what I love with friendly clients from my home base at Home Training central!
I hope Sara doesn't mind, but I am going to share her favorite recipe.
