Classes are forming for our Winter Session beginning the week of January 3rd.
Monday Mixed (Pilates based) 5:15p.m.
Tuesday Pilates 8:30a.m.
Wednesday Pilates 5:00p.m.
If the above schedule doesn't work for you, develop your own small group class with friends at a time/date convenient for you. This gives the added benefit of camaraderie and accountability plus social connection.
Personal Training on the Pilates reformer, tower and chair provides close, detailed instruction to address your needs and goals. This too can be a private class or split the experience with a friend.
All prices are listed on my website (www.hometrainingllc.com).
Between my background working in acute care as an occupational therapist, to teaching group fitness at gyms and out-patient clinics; the greatest difference I have made in people's lives has been through the nearly 20 year application of the Pilates Method of physical conditioning. Pilates primary focus is on creating core strength, incorporating breath-work, reducing strain through the periphery by increasing strength in the center, and finding ease in movement balancing strength with flexibility. Many of the first training centers on the West Coast were actually affiliated with orthopedic centers as many physical therapists and doctors found the work helpful for their clientele.
Gratitude to my awesome clients, many of whom have been with me since I first started exploring "Contrology." Joe Pilates regimen was all about health and happiness, not bodybuilding. He describes his goals of creating "zest and vitality" necessary to perform daily activities. Joe Pilates recognized early that good mental health is fostered through regular movement and physical activity. He also was keen to stress that one should not become fixated with exercise, as he deemed an obsession with exercise as unhealthy. Instead he advocated balance as described by the Greek physician Hippocrates, "We should bear in mind and ponder the Greek admonition" Not too much, Not too little."
Whether it is a new year or simply a new day, the transformative qualities of a regular Pilates program will improve your over-all well-being. "Every moment of our life can be the beginning of great things." (Joe Pilates)
Please reach out if you wish to join our classes or schedule personal training in the New Year! Thank you!
