Pilates Mat Class is a sociable experience! It's funny the things I learn from my awesome participants each week. Recently I heard one compliment another on a local newspaper article highlighting her daughter's new personal training studio in West Bend, Freely Fit. I made a mental note to inquire more from Linda about her daughter's relocation back to West Bend. Turns out, Ellie Steiner is an experienced physical therapist and personal trainer with a passion for sports conditioning, athletics, strength training, and healthy living. To our good fortune, she has returned and established her training studio near McLane School on Summit Avenue! It's the ideal location, and ironically the neighborhood that houses some of my most faithful Pilates friends!
Coincidentally, I recently emailed Ellie within an hour of her texting me, saying we really need to meet! So today I visited her home studio and thoroughly enjoyed learning more about Ellie's training space and general vision for the new studio. We have in common a similar experience of working in the acute care and hospital rehab settings and evolving into entrepreneurs focused on personal training, health and wellness. She is in her niche when helping people reach their fitness, weight loss and training goals. While Ellie has the extensive education and experience as a physical therapist, her business practice is that of a certified personal trainer and strength and conditioning coach. It's an ideal blend of education and knowledge to ensure optimal outcomes for her clients.
Freely Fit offers versatile equipment for those looking to lift weights (both free-weights and a cable machine), improve cardio respiratory fitness, or challenge dynamic mobility and balance. Whether a young athlete looking to improve sports performance, a cross-country skier looking to prepare for the season, men or women looking to lose weight and increase muscle mass, or the older individual who is noting loss of strength and decreased mobility, she has the tools and resources to assist each person in goal achievement. She always offers a "talk-free" consult to help the individual identify their goals and ensure they are a good fit for each other. As in any relationship, it is important to feel that trust and understanding from both trainer and client. In addition, the studio is designed for personal training, buddy training, or a small group (3) circuit session. As is similar in Pilates, camaraderie and community increases our accountability, thus training with a friend is a positive option.
As I continue to emphasize the importance of strength training to my clients, I am grateful to have a local professional like Ellie as a needed resource. I will certainly refer clients to Freely Fit for training and education. There is a gap between what I can offer as a Pilates instructor and what a robust training program should include. Freely Fit can offer additional tools for strength building as well as help you design a home program to ensure your fitness objectives are met. It's not just what you do in the gym that determines your well-being but more importantly how we are moving and engaging our bodies outside of the gym that likely has the most impact on our health. Sometimes a few personal training sessions can be the fire to inspire a more lasting commitment to exercise. Last year, for the first time ever, I employed the services of a personal trainer while in Florida. Those 6 sessions gave me a clear plan upon my return to Wisconsin; now I no longer wander aimlessly in the gym, instead I have purpose! No doubt I would benefit as well from some sessions with Ellie. It's time for a tune-up.
It was a pleasure to visit "Freely Fit" today and meet the wonderful Ellie! She's as awesome as her mother!. Website: www.freelyfitllc.com Email: [email protected]
