Dear Friends,
Thank you for a busy winter session. To accommodate the interest in the new year, we added another evening class on Mondays at 5pm which has been well attended. Your participation each week has made the winter months pass quickly. Our winter session concludes March 11th. The 10-week spring session ($100) begins Monday, March 16th. Pilates classes will continue to be offered on Mondays at 5pm, Tuesdays 8:30am, and Wednesdays at 4:30pm. You always have the option of making up missed classes on an alternate day.
I continue my 200 hour yoga training at Yoga One in Cedarburg until June. The 200 hours is the tip of the iceberg in terms of the thousands of years yoga has been practiced. The asanas, or poses, make up only one branch of the eight limbs of yoga. Other branches include pranayama (breath work) as well as yamas (moral disciplines) and niyamas (observances). These training principles provide a framework for how to live. Acting with generosity is one way to implement the niyama of "ahimsa."
Ahimsa: nonviolence toward oneself and all living creatures; an attitude of universal benevolence; the spontaneous expression of the highest form of love." As part of the program, and in accordance with the spirit of generosity, I will be offering free classes within the community. To thank-you for your dedication to Pilates my first offering will be a Spring Fling for current personal training and mat clients. These 4 classes will assist in the seasonal transition from winter to spring. According to Ayurvedic philosophy, the transition can find us feeling heavy and sluggish, like a reluctant bear coming out of hibernation. The prescription for spring is to develop a rhythm and routine that helps us gradually lighten up physically, emotionally, and mentally. This includes eating lighter foods, practicing asana (yoga poses), pranayama (breathing techniques) and meditation. These classes will be offered the week of March 22nd and March 29th. I have had a few requests for Sunday afternoons as well as Tuesdays. Please let me know any preferences and if possible, I will schedule these free classes accordingly.
Personal training on the Pilates equipment will certainly prepare you for spring and summer. It's a great work-out physically and is equally beneficial for the mind/body connection reducing stress and tension. Feel free and split a session with a friend to maximize the social connection as well. More information is available on my website. https://www.hometrainingllc.com/
Due to West Bend's spring break, we will not have class April 5th-April 12th. Classes resume Monday, April 13th at 5pm. Please refer to my facebook page for more frequent updates. https://www.facebook.com/HOME-TRAINING-LLC-102601553110274/
Thank you again for your faithful participation in the Pilates Method.
