Season's Greetings!
I hope you all enjoyed a peaceful, memorable and warm Christmas! The weather certainly cooperated for outdoor activity which was a pleasant change from previous years.
For those interested in attending Pilates and The Sunday Shift there are a couple of upcoming opportunities. This Sunday, 12/29 at 4p.m. will be a mindful movement class. This class includes a gentle warm-up, core conditioning, yoga poses, and a time of rest or meditation. A yoga mat is recommended as the standing postures are difficult on the cushioned Pilates mats. In addition, Tuesday 12/31 will be our last Pilates mat class of 2019! This too is a $10 drop-in class at our usual time of 8:30a.m. This will be a mixed-level class and modifications will be demonstrated to modify or amplify the exercises.
The 2020 session will run 10 weeks beginning 8:30a.m. Tuesday, January 7th, and Wednesday 4:30p.m. January 8th. The Tuesday class will continue to be programmed at an intermediate level and Wednesday remains at a basics/beginner level. The cost is $100/10 weeks or $12 drop-in. I continue to teach Pilates at Pleasant Valley Tennis and Fitness on Thursdays at 9:30a.m. All are welcome! If there was demand for an additional Home Training mat class I would be willing to add Monday evenings, dependent on interest. Thank you for inviting your friends, family and spouses. It certainly enhances accountability plus adds a fun, sociable element to the classes.
Personal training on the Pilates equipment is available by appointment. Pilates was originally designed to be performed on the spring-resisted equipment and provides interesting feedback to the body in terms of one's position, strength, flexibility and symmetry. Personal training is $50 for 1 class, $225 for 5, and $400 for 10. Classes are scheduled for 50 minutes. More info is available on my website. https://www.hometrainingllc.com/
The Sunday Shift at 4p.m. will be scheduled periodically as a "Pop-Up" drop-in class rather than an on-going series. I will be sure to notify you via facebook and email of these opportunities. There will be class this Sunday, 12/29, 4p.m.
Thank you again for your support this past year. I am grateful for your continued interest and applaud your investment in your health; mind, body and spirit!
Wishing you and yours all the best in 2020. If you have any questions or wish to notify me of your attendance for upcoming classes, please feel free and contact me.
