It must be the Florida girl in me that remains amazed at the determination of mid-westerners to negotiate winter conditions in order to exercise, socialize, and of course make it to the grocery store! With over 15 inches of snow expected by tomorrow and already 6" on the ground now, my Tuesday morning clients were committed to their routine. Maintaining your routine in the midst of a blizzard (both literally and figuratively speaking) is admirable!
Even in blizzards Home Training, LLC is open for business; however deck seating is currently not available!
The calm within the storm! All 5 participants made it to mat class this morning in blowing snow and freezing temperatures. Strong to the core!
Carol, Midge and friends work through the side-lying series as snow builds outside Home Training. As much as we worked to maintain our focus to breath, precision and control, we could not help but notice the beautiful winter landscape.
A few hearty training clients made it to their session later this morning. Roasting marshmallows by the fire? Not if you're Tonnie on the Pilates Arc!
Bad news at noon...early dismissal and no school tomorrow!
All of today's clients were offered tips to protect their backs and engage their core while snow shoveling. Clients even had the opportunity to practice appropriate body mechanics on Home Training's parking lot. All declined...good thing I have kids. Bend your knees kids!
