A snapshot of my reformer and new studio space--my little cave! Thanks kids for giving me your toy room!
I worked with a client tonight...a mom of 3 children--the youngest under a year. She has a significant diastasis--a separation of the abdominal sheath which often occurs with multiple pregnancies, plus she has a petite frame. We had fun trouble-shooting the best moves to strengthen her core without further straining the diastasis. She is very active, huge fan of cardio workouts yet found the Pilates to be challenging in a mindful, concentrated manner. We adapted exercises on the reformer to address her immobile ribcage, a shortened, tight dominant right side and a weakened lengthened left side. She left the session feeling great and looking forward to more!
