A close friend, to my sister-in-law and brother in Georgia, was seriously injured in Afghanistan this past summer. He has been on my mind today as well as all of our veterans. His life and his family's life will never be the same because of his willingness to face danger to keep our country safe. This link is from a summer news article. I believe Mark is now home with his young family after months in the hospital. His story is like so many others of which I can never say thank you enough for their sacrifice.

Thank you to all our military personnel and veterans. Thank you to families who have lost so much to keep our family safe. Thank you to brave men and women who put themselves in the face of danger everyday and simply call it doing their job. I am grateful for your courage and commitment.
