Positive news from the exciting world of girls basketball! The Extreme Team, represented by Auburn Larson, rocked the All-Star Chicago-Land special events on Thursday July 30th taking 1st place against 50 other "all-stars" in both the free throw and 3-point competition. Auburn was selected as her AAU Extreme Team representative to compete against 50 other girls, ages 14-16, from Iowa, Illinois, and Wisconsin. Her Extreme Team played fantastic Friday through Sunday and West Bend East was also represented by fellow freshman, Abby Trinastic. The team is coached by Ron Larson and directed by Wayne Featherston based in the Sheboygan/Plymouth region. The dedication of parents, players, and coaches at this level is incredible; there is maximum investment by all involved to help these girls pursue their passions. Way to represent Abby and Auburn!
In other news....Pilates continues this week: Tuesday Mat Class #5 at My Personal Trainor 8:00a.m. and Thursday Mat Class at Pleasant Valley Tennis and Fitness 9:00a.m. As we enter August, kid commitments decrease and spaces for Pilates Personal Training on the equipment increase. Using the reformer, tower and chair we introduce unique movement patterns and challenges to your body resulting in a sense of energy, strength, balance, and focus. Participants report feeling taller with decreased tension and improved flexibility. TRX On-Demand Classes are also a great option for strength training and core conditioning at Pleasant Valley Tennis and Fitness. Form a group of 4-6 friends, find a time convenient for your party, and prepare for a solid work-out. Stay-tuned for upcoming classes in the fall as we resume mat sessions at Home Training. Exercise is key to a healthy body and managing stress....but who has stress? Enjoy the week!
Congrats Extreme Team Select! Proud of you girls, your friendships, and your dedication to basketball this summer.
