Dear Pilates Friends,
This beautiful day reminds me the summer season is just a few weeks away and with it a significant change in classes and personal schedules. My part-time "Mom" job tends to become a full-time gig in the summer but that does not mean we neglect our own well-being. I will be holding mat classes the months of July and August at My Personal Trainor on Main Street in West Bend next door to Settler's Park. Classes will be Tuesdays at 8a.m. beginning July 7th. If you sign up and pay by June 14th class fee is $10 per class, the drop-in rate will be $12. If you know you will only be able to attend, for example, 5 classes, you may pay $50 in advance, you do not have to pay for the entire series, just pay for the number of days that you expect to attend. Your advanced registration is appreciated as it gives me a better idea of attendance, space, mats, and props necessary to bring to the studio. (The studio is large however I think 15 will be max.) Feel free and bring your kids, 12 and older would be most suitable, if you are trying to incorporate exercise and mindfulness as part of their experience. I know my own kids tend to listen better to an "outsider" coach than their mom so don't hesitate to drag them along for the fun! The location is ideal to incorporate a morning walk and coffee with friends following class...Walking+Pilates+Friends+Coffee=A Great Morning
I continue to teach TRX at Pleasant Valley Tennis according to client interest. This workout is intense and challenging but can be easily modified to accommodate all levels of fitness. The variety of exercises, from cardio, to strength training, to stretching, using your own body as resistance, are immeasurable. If you have a group of 4-6 friends who wish to commit to a weekly 50 minute training session the fee would be $10/person as a PV member or $12 non-members. Currently I have a summer group that will meet Thursdays at 8a.m. followed by Pilates Mat Class (open to the public) at 9a.m. at Pleasant Valley Tennis. I would be happy to add additional TRX classes, particularly during those early-morning hours, if there is interest.
Finally, speaking of early morning, a lot of my faithful reformer/personal training clients continue to work with me through the summer but typically before the rest of the family is on the move! Don't let the busy summer keep you from taking personal time to honor your own health and well-being. My Home Training studio is quiet and convenient and I often see clients between 6-9am on weekdays. If you are interested in adding Pilates training to your summer fitness regimen please contact me. I can be quite flexible so let me know the times that work best for you and I will do my best to accommodate.
